Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a leading provider of
next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise,
today announced that Nixon Peabody LLP, a full-service global law firm
with more than 700 attorneys will use Aruba’s
Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture. The firm is deploying
Aruba’s wired and wireless LAN (WLAN) solutions to enable business
mobility across its sixteen offices worldwide. With the new Aruba
solutions, including the ClearPass
Access Management System, Nixon Peabody will have even greater
support to deliver secure, reliable “anytime, anywhere” access for its
employees and guests while enabling Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) in all
of its locations.
As a firm focused on the future, technology is an important part of
Nixon Peabody’s operations. The firm supports a mix of laptops,
Blackberry devices, iPads and iPhones to improve productivity as
employees work within and outside of the firm’s offices.
“Mobility is an integral part of doing business, so it was critical for
us to create a highly-mobile environment for our employees and deliver
reliable access for our guests,” said Ted Scardino, Manager,
Infrastructure Architect, for Nixon Peabody. “Aruba offered a wired and
wireless solution to support the kind of pervasive, secure network
access necessary as we accommodate the growing volume of mobile devices
used in our offices.”
Included in the deployment are Aruba access points (APs), controllers,
switches, the AirWave
Network Management System, ClearPass Access Management System and
remote access points (RAPs), which are being used for business
continuity purposes and for large off-site meetings.
