United Tote Company Includes Fujitsu G60 Bill Recycling Unit in Its KAM Account Management Kiosk

CHDN

Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc., a leader in innovative technology and front-end solutions, today announced that Louisville, KY-based United Tote Company has integrated the Fujitsu G60 bill recycling unit in the KAM Account Management Kiosk™. The units went live in four locations during this fall’s meeting at Keeneland Racecourse, October 4-26, 2013, one of the world’s premiere horse racing venues and annual host to The Toyota Bluegrass Stakes. The Fujitsu G60 is a compact recycling unit that can quickly and accurately recycle four denominations, dispense a fifth denomination from its optional F53 loading cassette and accept deposits.

United Tote first piloted the kiosk solution including the G60 during Keeneland’s spring meeting in April 2013 and at Arlington International later in the year. The KAM Kiosk enables pari-mutuel customers to create accounts by scanning their driver’s license and updating and viewing account history by swiping their wagering account card. In addition, with the inclusion of the G60 bill recycling unit, customers can fund accounts with cash or withdraw cash as one would at an ATM. The kiosk supports United Tote’s FastBet Mobile™ wagering platform which allows customers to wager from their mobile device while at the track.

“The horse-racing patron is extremely demanding when it comes to speed and accuracy, especially when handling their cash in a self-service environment,” says Nate Simon, President, United Tote. “We selected the Fujitsu G60 for the KAM Account Management Kiosk after thoroughly testing it in our labs and putting it through exhaustive beta and pilot tests throughout the country. It performed extremely well in the most demanding environments. We plan on integrating the G60 in all future KAM Account Management Kiosk locations.”

The Fujitsu G60, with up to 1,900 notes capacity, features 4 recycling cassettes, 1 deposit cassette and 1 optional loading cassette. The loading cassette increases up-time and productivity by increasing capacities, start-of-day replenishment or providing an additional denomination when necessary. Available in front or rear access, the G60 supports mixed notes, new and used currency and paper-based and polymer notes within the same unit. A true market differentiator, the bill validator also has the ability to capture in high-quality resolution, the image of personal checks, barcodes and coupons.

“The fact that there are several other competitive recyclers in the market makes us very happy that United Tote selected the G60 bill recycling unit for the KAM Account Management Kiosk,” says Randy Fox, senior director, currency handling and identity product solutions, Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. “It was very evident from the beginning that United Tote required speed, accuracy and flexibility in a compact footprint. United Tote’s testing proved over and over again that the G60 was up to the task.”

Fujitsu’s family of OEM currency handling products has the quality, reliability, and advanced feature functionality required to offer true value-add and control the up-front design and recurring product support / maintenance cost. Fujitsu offers OEM currency dispensers like the F50, F53, F56, F400, F510, and bulk currency acceptors and currency recyclers like the G610/611, G60, and G651, for a wide range of budget, volume and configuration requirements.
