Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a leading provider of
next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise,
today announced that TRIS3CT, one of America’s leading
independent advertising agencies, has selected Aruba’s wireless LAN
(WLAN) infrastructure to advance creative collaboration and business
efficiencies throughout its Chicago offices. Working with Aruba partner
ProviNET Solutions, TRIS3CT replaced its existing wireless network with
the Aruba
Instant controller-less access points (APs).
TRIS3CT had outgrown the capacity of its legacy wireless network, and
users frequently complained of connectivity problems. The agency needed
a “corner-to-corner” wireless LAN with the coverage and performance to
support Wi-Fi connections anywhere in the office. The new network,
featuring Aruba Instant controller-less APs, allows TRIS3CT’s staff to
roam freely throughout the agency during the creative process,
working from any location without sacrificing speed or always-on
connectivity.
“With more than 150 employees dependent upon streaming high-definition
video and transferring large design files, we rely heavily on
our network infrastructure,” said David Schaefer, Vice President of
Information Technology, TRIS3CT. “Aruba helped simplify this
infrastructure, resulting in dramatically reduced support calls related
to wireless issues, and providing our creative staff with the freedom
and flexibility they desire.”
TRIS3CT evaluated a number of Wi-Fi solutions, and found that Aruba’s
performance, reliability and management simplicity, along with
best-in-class support for Apple devices, placed its infrastructure ahead
of the pack. The agency determined that Aruba was the right choice to
support the myriad phones, tablets and multiple generations
of MacBooks that its creative team uses every day.
“Aruba offers better support and more functionality for our corporate
network environment, and requires less time, cost and effort to maintain
than our previous solution,” said Mark Scott, Senior Systems Engineer,
TRIS3CT. “Given the strong recommendation from our longtime network
partner, ProviNET Solutions, the choice was easy to make.”
“As IT consultants, we have the opportunity to evaluate a lot of
different solutions,” said Mark Nunnikhoven, Director of Client
Relations, ProviNET Solutions. “We have always gone back to Aruba’s
technology as the best option for our customers — it’s scalable,
affordable and feature-rich. Because we’ve had such great success with
Aruba, we wanted TRIS3CT to consider it as an option. They had an
opportunity to kick the tires, so to speak, and quickly determined that
Aruba was exactly what they needed.”
Aruba Instant APs deliver enterprise-class WLAN capabilities in a highly
scalable, centrally managed platform that is secure, reliable and ideal
for mobile and distributed environments. The Aruba Instant APs provide
TRIS3CT with the coverage and capacity needed to support increasing
device densities as the agency continues to grow.
Tim Davis, IT Analyst, TRIS3CT, summed up the benefits this way: “The
greatest thing about our Aruba Networks solution so far is that I don’t
have to think about it anymore. It just works.”
