Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN), a leading provider of
next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise,
today announced that in Gartner Inc.’s latest “Magic Quadrant for
Network Access Control” report, Aruba has been positioned in the leaders
quadrant for the first time.
This year’s “Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control” notes the
substantial impact of the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) trend on the
Network Access Control (NAC) market. As always, Gartner evaluates
vendors based on two criteria: completeness of vision and ability to
execute, and includes a summary of each vendor, as well as an assessment
of each vendor’s strengths and weaknesses. In the latest report, Aruba
and its ClearPass Network Access System were moved into the leaders
quadrant.
“We are pleased that Gartner has recognized Aruba as a Leader this
year,” said Keerti Melkote, Chief Technology Officer, Aruba Networks.
“We believe this recognition reflects the significant inroads that Aruba
has made in the NAC market. As enterprises have continued to search for
ways to better accommodate the BYOD trend, our ClearPass solution has
gained significant traction. With its ability to securely provision and
onboard mobile devices while reducing the burden and cost on IT
departments, ClearPass has quickly become a popular choice for a wide
range of enterprises. We consider our movement into the leaders quadrant
of the latest Gartner ‘Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control’ a
testament to our progress.”
