Mario Longhi, president and chief executive officer of United States Steel Corporation, will testify before the House Steel Caucus on Tuesday, March 25, at the invitation of Steel Caucus Chair Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA) and Vice-Chair Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-IN). Longhi will join four CEOs of steel-producing companies on Capitol Hill to discuss the state of the steel industry and how policies on trade, tax, energy, environment and infrastructure are impacting business.
Leaders of American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) member companies expected to testify at the event are: John Ferriola, chairman, president and chief executive officer, Nucor Corporation; Michael Rehwinkel, executive chairman, EVRAZ North America; Michael Rippey, president and chief executive officer, ArcelorMittal USA; and Charles Schmitt, president, SSAB Americas.
Also expected to testify are: Leo Gerard, international president of the United Steelworkers; Carl Moulton, senior vice president international, Allegheny Technologies Incorporated; John Stupp, president, Stupp Corporation; and Richard "Dick" Teets, president and chief operating officer steel operations; Steel Dynamics, Inc.
