announced that Adrienne Roark has been appointed President and General
Manager of KOIN-TV, the local CBS affiliate, in Portland, OR.

Ms. Roark is an accomplished television executive with more than 20
years of experience and a proven track record of strengthening
television stations’ news positions across all platforms. She will join
LIN Media after spending the last four years as Vice President and News
Director at KTVT-TV, the local CBS affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
During her tenure, Ms. Roark implemented an innovative digital and
social media strategy and transformed the station’s largest department
into a multiplatform content center that works hand-in-hand with every
department to achieve results. Prior to that role, Ms. Roark was News
Director at WFOR-TV, the local CBS affiliate in Miami, FL and Assistant
News Director for WESH-TV, the local NBC affiliate in Orlando, FL.
In her new role that is effective June 23, 2014, Ms. Roark will provide
strategic direction, leadership and operational management for KOIN-TV.
She will report to Jay Howell, LIN Media’s Vice President Television.

Ms. Roark is a three-time regional Emmy winner and the recipient of six
regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. She received her Bachelor of Arts in
Communications from The Ohio State University and her Ethics Fellowship
from The Poynter Institute for Journalism. She is also an active member
of several boards and groups, including Investigative Reporters and
Editors, Radio Television Digital News Association and The Ohio State
University’s Advisory Committee for the College of Arts & Sciences. She
will reside in Portland with her husband and two sons.
