Avnet Velocity's Pascal Fernandez to Present at 10th Annual Advancing S&OP to Integrated Business Planning Conference in Berlin

(NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that Pascal Fernandez, vice president of Avnet Velocity, EMEA, will present a case study on collaborative supply chains at the 10th Annual Advancing S&OP to Integrated Business Planning Conference. The event takes place June 25-27, 2014, at the Steigenberger Hotel in Berlin.

During his session on June 26 at 9:50 a.m. CEST, titled “Supply Chain Collaboration Maturity – What Difference Does it Make?” Fernandez will discuss the seven stages of collaboration maturity and how to achieve it, enhancing collaboration at a strategic level, and improving risk management through integrated business planning. He will also review how to practically enhance and improve collaborative practices to benefit all supply chain partners.

“Integrated business planning and supply chain efficiency are directly related to the quality of the collaboration between sales and supply chain teams,” said Fernandez. “Everyone wins when they understand and play to each other's strengths. Through this presentation, I look forward to discussing best practices for how supply chain partners can work together to enhance their success.”

Additionally, Fernandez will present during a panel discussion on June 26 at 12:20 p.m. CEST, titled “Integrating Outsourcing into Integrated Business Planning.” This session will focus on finding the balance between processes that can be outsourced and what should stay in-house. Attendees will also learn how to effectively manage outsourced processes, and methods to incorporate outsourced processes into integrated business planning.

Fernandez is the vice president of Avnet Velocity, EMEA, a global supply chain solutions division of Avnet, Inc., where he is responsible for business development. Having started his career in electronics engineering, Fernandez has held multiple positions in sales and marketing management within the electronics industry and has implemented numerous successful global supply chain and logistics programs. Based in Paris, he is also president of the SPDEI, the French Electronics Distribution Trade Association and a member of the Supply Chain Council European Leadership team French National, based in the Avnet Paris office.

The Advancing S&OP to Integrated Business Planning conference offers industry professionals the skills and insights necessary to improve profitability, long term business planning and process efficiency by maturing advanced S&OP processes. Attendees will discuss case studies on cultural change, collaboration techniques, niche forecasting, supply and demand methodologies, and risk management strategies.
