MAHWAH, N.J., June 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radware®(Nasdaq:RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, announced Xand, the Northeast's premier provider of cloud, managed services, colocation and disaster recovery has selected DefensePro®, part of the core of Radware's attack mitigation system (AMS) to help strengthen Xand's DDoS protection for cloud and colocation infrastructure.
Xand combined its around-the-clock monitoring from the Xand Network Operations Center with Radware's AMS to offer "Xand DDoS Protection Services" which can halt costly downtime. In the event of an attack, Xand DDoS Protection architecture absorbs the malicious traffic, keeping attack patterns from ever reaching client infrastructure.
Radware's AMS is a multi-layered solution designed to work in multi-tenant datacenters and offers a leading, combined detection and mitigation technology in the market. It can protect against large scale and increasingly complex Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks without impacting legitimate traffic and offers a monitoring and reporting solution that provides real-time identification, prioritization and response to policy breaches, cyber-attacks and insider threats.
"Leveraging the power of Radware components and the Xand 24x7 Network Operations Center, our customers will not only stay in service during a DDoS attack, but also receive comprehensive monitoring, alerting and reporting to expose attackers and their methods," says Xand Chief Security Officer Paul Mazzucco. "We custom designed our DDoS mitigation architecture from the ground up, allowing Xand to craft protection frameworks for all aspects of mission-critical hosted systems-- compute, storage, network, and more."
Xand DDoS Protection Services can be used by hospitals, universities, financial services firms and retail organizations to protect their cloud systems and comprehensively guard against user data breaches. Xand has deployed the service for a large national organization, protecting their website and other critical infrastructure components from attacks designed to inflict operationally disruptive downtime.
"Our goal is to support companies such as Xand and their customers with the most holistic attack protection coverage to assist them with their comprehensive security offering," says David Anderson, vice president, Americas, Radware. "We're very pleased to partner with Xand and look forward to a strong and fruitful relationship."
