The Finish Line Youth Foundation announced today the award of $148,805
in grant recipients for the second quarter of 2014. The 19 grants went
to organizations that focus on healthy lifestyles, youth development and
special needs in 14 states.
“We’re excited to invest our funds with such deserving organizations,”
said Marty Posch, Executive Director of the Finish Line Youth
Foundation. “These organizations are dedicated to youth development and
healthy lifestyles and we’re proud to support them.”
The Finish Line Youth Foundation supports qualified nonprofit
organizations that provide community-based access to athletics for
children and camps that provide services to those who are disadvantaged
or disabled.

for this quarter is September 30, 2014.
LEGACY GRANT:
Team Activities for Special Kids (Fenton, Mo.) – $65,000
for a new basketball court that will be used by more than 1,900 special
needs children. Team Activities for Special Kids provides year-round
instructional sports programs that provide athletic and social
opportunities to kids with special needs.
CAMPS:
Apple Ridge Farm (Roanoke, Va.) – $5,000 to fund an
academic summer camp for children with disabilities.
Fernside – A Center for Grieving Children (Cincinnati, Ohio) – $5,000
for a camp for children who have experienced the death of a loved one.
Kids and Pros (Buford, Ga.) – $5,000 for non-contact,
character-based football camps and clinics for youth.
Kostopulos Dream Foundation (Salt Lake City, Utah) – $2,500
for a camp for children with special needs.
Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana Sports Program (Indianapolis) –
$2,010 for an archery program for physically disadvantaged youth.
Respite Care, Inc. (Fort Collins, Colo.) – $5,000 to fund
a summer camp for children with disabilities.
TFK Chicago Voyagers (Palatine, Ill.) – $4,800 for an
outdoor adventure and canoe camp for disadvantaged children.
The South Mountain YMCA (Wernersville, Pa.) – $5,000 to
fund a summer camp for children from military families.
True Friends (Annadale, Minn.) – $5,000 to fund a unified
camp for children with and without special needs.
Whispering Hope Ranch Foundation (Phoenix) – $5,000 to
fund a therapeutic wellness and healing camp for children with special
needs and their families.
HEALTHY LIFESTYLES:
National Nursing Centers Consortium (Philadelphia) – $5,000
to fund Students Run Philly style, an after school running program for
at-risk youth.
Nine 13, Inc. (Indianapolis) – $5,000 for an interactive
cycling program for disadvantaged and at-risk youth.
Soccer Without Borders (Cambrdige, Mass.) – $4,495 for a
soccer program for refuge, asylee and immigrant youth.
Sociedad Latina (Boston) – $5,000 to fund a run/walk club
for at-risk Latino youth.
Sporty Girls, Inc. (Atlanta) – $5,000 for a
non-traditional sports program for youth girls.
The Sierra Club Foundation (San Francisco) – $5,000 for an
outdoor adventure program for underserved youth.
Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development (Phoenix) – $5,000
to fund a healthy leisure and physical recreation program for trauma
impacted teens.
United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida (Orlando, Fla.) – $5,000
to fund an adaptive physical fitness program for children with special
needs.
