DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif., Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Brookfield Property Partners celebrated the launch today of DesignHive by Brookfield, an innovative office suite collection designed to showcase the next generation of high-rise office space as conceptualized by six of Los Angeles' leading architectural firms, announced John Barganski, Senior Vice President of Leasing, Western Region for Brookfield's office division. "Regardless of industry, today's tenants increasingly demand a modern interpretation of their office environment and DesignHive by Brookfield is being developed to provide a visual experience for leasing innovative and progressive work environments in two of our most prominent high-rise office towers," stated Barganski.
"From the program's earliest stages, we planned DesignHive by Brookfield around a team of world-class architects who will push the boundaries of what a progressive office work environment can be," added Barganski. "Each architectural firm was given the same design challenge as a starting point. We asked them to leverage their unique experience, talents and vision to explore and create a progressive workplace environment for a specific industry. We are confident their efforts will result in a market leading collection of the next generation of workplace environments," added Barganski.
The initial DesignHive office suites, currently in design development, will be unveiled in the first quarter of 2015 in downtown Los Angeles at Wells Fargo Center-South Tower located at 355 South Grand Avenue on Bunker Hill, and the Gas Company Tower at 555 West Fifth Street, near the Historic Core. Each suite within DesignHive will be approximately 3,500 – 4,500 square feet, and feature a design that is targeted to a specific industry or business type, and matched to an architectural firm with expertise in that field. The result will be a groundbreaking collection of progressive work environments showcasing the future of high-rise office space.
The DesignHive by Brookfield suites, described as 'An inspired collection of vertical workspaces' within the Gas Company tower include architectural concepts by Rottet Studio, Unispace and Wolcott. Within Wells Fargo Center's South Tower, the next generation of office concepts is being designed by Gensler, IA Interior Architects, and Shlemmer Algaze Associates.
According the Barganski, "While we have specifically paired industries with architectural firms that are highly recognized in each particular tenant category, we anticipate that the progressive nature of the space and designs overall will attract and resonate with space users from all manner of industries."
With competition for high quality employees at an all time high, more companies are seeking office space in amenity and culturally rich urban centers around the world. DesignHive by Brookfield acknowledges the phenomenon, and brings to focus the flexibility and collaboration that can be achieved in a high-rise environment.
Brookfield has a reputation for creating the most innovative and quality work environments in gateway cities around the world, including seven landmark assets in downtown Los Angeles. In addition, Brookfield's downtown portfolio includes the highly successful 330,000 square-foot FIGat7th retail and dining destination, featuring the city's most sought after fashion retailers and chef-driven dining options.
