Nhale Inc. (OTCQB:NHLE) is seeking acquisition targets in the areas of
legal marijuana grow operations, dispensaries, testing and plant science
technologies, the company’s President and CEO Lance Williams said today.
He did not name specific companies, but noted that Nhale has identified
potential targets and is in talks with one of those companies.
“We have great expectations for Nhale, and there is every indication
that this company will be able to continue to evolve to build a
successful, sustainable business through product or company
acquisition,” said Williams.
Nhale is looking to benefit from the expanding legal pot trade. Already
legal in 23 states, marijuana could become legal nationwide in some
capacity in a few years, according to the Baker Institute for Public
Policy at Rice University in Houston. This year, Maryland, Minnesota and
New York passed legislation and Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania have
pending legislation or ballot measures in November.
“Estimates of the existing legal U.S. marijuana market are around $2.6
billion. In contrast, the black market is more than $50 billion,” said
Williams. He added, “With medical research increasingly indicating that
there is a potential benefit for patients with a variety of illnesses,
this market holds tremendous opportunities.”
