VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 12, 2014) - Rogue Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RRS) ("Rogue" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Eddy Canova as Senior Vice President ("VP") of the Company, effective immediately. Mr. Canova will lead the Company's exploration initiatives and support Company management on product marketing and strategic initiatives.
Mr. Canova's 35 years' working experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry working in Archean, Proterozoic and Tertiary environments in Canada, West Africa, Mexico, Central America and South America gives him the expertise needed to advance the Company and its projects. He has worked on early stage to advanced exploration projects and production in a variety of commodities, including gold, silver, base metals, iron-ore, PGE's and uranium.
Summary of Mr. Canova's Experience:
- During his tenure as Director of Exploration for Oceanic Iron Ore, more than doubled its iron ore resource to over 1.4 billion tonnes.
- Responsible for starting up the Tomi Gold Mine in Venezuela for Bolivar Goldfields; managed the mining operation which produced 66,000 oz of gold annually.
- Senior chief geologist for Gold Reserve in Venezuela, a world class Brisas gold-copper deposit of 10.2 M oz Gold (Au) and 1.4 Billion Tonne Copper (Cu). Compiled all of the initial drilling database and geological interpretations.
- Chief geologist for GPM Ltd. in West Africa, exploring for alluvial gold deposits; led the company into new discoveries.
- Worked in gold and uranium throughout Québec.
- Fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
- Graduated from McGill University in 1977, Geology major. Has taken courses towards a Management Diploma (Accounting, Management Math) at McGill, is constantly upgrading professional skills and obtained his Professional Geologist designation, OGQ (403)-P.Geo.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Canova held senior officer and director roles in a number of TSX-V traded companies. He is a professional geologist who has consulted to mineral exploration companies and geotechnical engineering firms throughout North and South America and Africa for the past 35 years.

Of note are the Langmuir Nickel Deposit and Radio Hill Iron Ore Deposit near Timmins, Ontario, the East-West Gold Project in Val d'Or, Québec and its most recently acquired Lac de la Grosse Femelle silica project located east of Québec City, Québec. The Company has recently received its NI43-101 Technical Report for the silica project which will be released upon receiving TSX approval.
