This was the second year that IGM has participated in the CDP survey, providing information to shareholders and other stakeholders on the greenhouse gas emissions and climate change risks and opportunities of IGM's operating companies - Investors Group, Mackenzie Investments and Investment Planning Counsel.

In 2014, IGM's CDP score was 96B. CDP scores a firm's response two ways:
- on its disclosure - the completeness and quality of a company's response, graded out of 100 points, and
- on its performance - the level of action a company is taking, graded from an A to E.
More than 4,500 companies across 80 countries reported to the CDP in 2014. CDP is a not-for-profit organization that collects information on behalf of 767 institutional investors, holding U.S. $92 trillion in assets, to help them manage risk in their investment portfolios.
