Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation: December and estimated special year-end dividend amounting to $0.112 per share

TORONTO, Dec.16, 2014 /CNW/ - Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (the "Corporation") (TSX: FC) announces its monthly cash dividend for December in the amount of $0.078 per share. The Corporation also announces an estimated special year-end cash dividend (the "Special Dividend") of $0.034 per share. These cash dividends, totaling an estimated $0.112 per share are payable on January 15 2015, to shareholders of record on December 31, 2014. 

The precise amount of the Special Dividend will be confirmed prior to the payment date. The estimated Special Dividend recognizes the net income generated by the Corporation exceeds year-to-date dividends paid to shareholders. The Special Dividend is not indicative of future performance.

DIVIDEND OVERVIEW 2014:
Regular monthly cash dividends for 2014 equalled $0.078 per month, for a total $0.936 per share, which, together with the year-end Special Dividend of $0.034, represents total cash dividends for 2014 of $0.970 per share.

DIVIDEND REINVESTMENT PLAN (DRIP)
The plan allows participants to have their monthly cash dividends reinvested in additional shares. The Price paid per share is 98% of the weighted average trading price calculated five trading days immediately preceding each dividend date with no commission cost.

SHARE PURCHASE PLAN
Once registered with the Plan, participants have the right to purchase additional shares, totalling no greater than $12,000 per year and no less than $250 per month. Shareholders participating pay no commission.
