Group announced today that Greg
Matthews, the founder and managing director of MDigitalLife,
has been appointed to the Mayo Clinic Center for Social
Media Health Network’s External Advisory Board.
The Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media Health Network has taken a
leadership role in bringing together the various elements of the online
health ecosystem, including hospitals, doctors, patients and healthcare
companies. Since its inception in 2010, it has collected best practices
from each of these groups, educated the individual members and raised
the overall level of knowledge in the health ecosystem.

and it has taken such an impressive leadership role in the health
industry,” says Matthews.
Matthews has an extensive background in healthcare innovation,
communications and social media. He strongly believes in the importance

team have discovered that the rise of the social web has led to
exponentially increased interaction between doctors, patients and
hospitals. As that interaction continues to grow, so does the “health
