Fluor Wins Integrated Services Supplier Contract at PG&E's Diablo Canyon Power Plant

FLR

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) was awarded a five-year operations and maintenance contract by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to serve as the integrated services supplier for the two-unit Diablo Canyon Power Plant in Avila Beach, California. Fluor booked the undisclosed contract value into backlog in the fourth quarter of 2014.

“The Fluor team is pleased to have been selected by PG&E to serve as its integrated service supplier at Diablo Canyon,” said Matthew McSorley, president of Fluor’s Power business. “By integrating supplier services, we will continue to provide PG&E with cost-effective solutions that are grounded in a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement. We look forward to supporting the safe, reliable and affordable operation of the Diablo Canyon plant.”

“We are pleased to partner with Fluor Corporation because they share our unwavering commitment to the safe, reliable and affordable operation of Diablo Canyon. Fluor’s focus on innovation, ownership and leadership aligns well with our team’s mission at Diablo Canyon,” said Ed Halpin, senior vice president and chief nuclear officer for PG&E.

Under the five-year contract, Fluor will be responsible for site services, facility maintenance, strategic and station projects, engineering services and outage services at the Diablo Canyon facility. The two combined units produce approximately 2,300 megawatts of power.

Since 2010, Fluor has provided mechanical, electrical and civil support during non-outage and outage periods at Diablo Canyon Power Plant as part of an operations and maintenance contract.
