Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies
and services, has been recognized by FORTUNE Magazine as one of the 2015
World’s Most Admired Companies.
The recognition measures corporate reputation based on nine key
attributes from financial soundness to innovation. Within the chemicals
industry, Ecolab ranked second overall and first for social
responsibility and long-term investment value.
“This recognition is a testament to the integrity and hard work of our
45,000 associates who work every day to help make the world cleaner,
safer and healthier,” said Ecolab Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Douglas M. Baker, Jr. “It is an honor to be recognized as a leader in
our industry and as one of the world’s most admired companies.”
The 2015 FORTUNE World’s Most Admired Companies list is based on
responses from thousands of survey participants, including executives,
directors and analysts, who rate companies in their industry on nine
criteria. The 2015 survey included a total of 668 companies from 29
countries. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry
survey to be listed as a World’s Most Admired Company.
