Public Storage Opens a New Location in League City, Texas, Today

PSA

Public Storage (NYSE:PSA) is expanding its footprint in League City and the Houston market with a new self-storage location opening today.

The company is expanding service to the growing Houston suburb with the newly acquired storage facility conveniently located on Highway 96 and the Gulf Freeway. Public Storage 1250 W. League City Pkwy, League City, TX 77573 is a 716-unit storage facility the company acquired from High Point Storage.

The affordable self-storage options at this location also include covered parking spaces, a desirable feature to help protect your car from the damaging effects of the summer sun. There’s also climate-controlled storage on site.

The newly-acquired mini storage property serves a town of families, good schools and tree-lined streets. For peace of mind, there is an on-site property manager who lives on the premises of the nine-acre location.

This is the second League City location for Public Storage. The first opened April 30 as Public Storage 3155 W Walker St, League City, TX 77573. The company owns a total of 103 Houston-area locations.

When possible, Public Storage expands its business by purchasing existing buildings and renovating them, as opposed to starting from the ground up. The practice is in line with the company’s sustainability initiatives; by reusing existing structures, Public Storage is able to reduce its carbon footprint with fewer contractor trips in the area.

Company Information

We help customers in their time of need, whether moving, downsizing or storing for business. Public Storage was founded in 1972 with a single Southern California self-storage building. We’ve grown a bit since then, to more than 2,250 locations around the country, making us the largest in the business today and a member of the S&P 500. We offer self-storage options of all shapes and sizes and the same personal attention from on-site managers that we’ve been giving from day one. For stockholders, we are a real estate investment trust, meaning we reinvest more of our revenue back into the business and distribute a large portion to public investors in the form of dividends.
