Iconic Completes Geophysical Survey and Acquires Additional Land for its Lithium Brine Target

APT, V.ICM

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - June 16, 2016) - Iconic Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: ICM) (FSE: YQG) is pleased to announce it has completed a MagnetoTelluric (MT) geophysical survey at its Bonnie Claire Project located 30 miles (48 km) north of Beatty, Nevada. The survey, conducted by Zonge International Inc., consisted of six lines spaced 0.9 to 1.25 miles (1.5-2.0 km) apart. A total of 17.3 miles (27.8 km) of surveying was conducted. Initial interpretation by the Company's geophysicist, Frank Fritz, indicates the project is underlain by an extensive brine horizon. Results will be released when a final interpretation is completed.

Several of the geophysical lines are underlain by open-ended anomalies, therefore the land holding has been increased by an additional 137 claims, currently totaling 921 claims comprising 18,420 acres (refer to news release April 21, 2016). Iconic now controls 28.75 square miles (75 km2). An additional MT survey has been scheduled to determine the full extent of the interpreted brine zone. The MT survey is scheduled to commence in approximately one week.

The following is a brief summary on the Property:

The Property is a lithium brine target. It is located within a valley that is over +20 miles (+30 km) long and 12 miles (20 km) wide into which streams from an +800 mi2 (2,070 km2) drainage basin empty. The source rocks are quartz-rich volcanics that contain anomalous amounts of lithium. Sampling of salt flats within the basin have found lithium values in salt samples ranging from 50 to 340 ppm. The deeper part of a gravity low within the valley is 12 miles (20 km) long and initial estimates are the depth to bedrock ranges from 1,500 to 2,000 feet (460-610 m) within this low. The current claim block covers the gravity low and associated mud flats that could be used for evaporation ponds if significant lithium brines are discovered in drilling.
