Perisson Improves Ribstone Royalty Payments

V.POG.H

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Sept. 22, 2016) - Perisson Petroleum Corporation ("Perisson" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:POG) is pleased to announce that it has been successful in renegotiating the royalty burden that was part of the assignment of the Ribstone acquisition as announced on August 15, 2016. Closing of the acquisition is expected to occur in late September, 2016 when the vendor obtains shareholder approval for the transaction.

The royalty burden was previously 10% of the oil production which would be produced from the Ribstone lands. The Alberta Energy Regulator has assigned 6 million barrels of oil in place to the Ribstone pool, and, to date, only 5% of this oil has been recovered.

The vendor has identified 10 future McLaren well locations and 8 Sparky well locations which it believes can be placed on production for less than $15,000/BOE/day. This reduced royalty burden will now significantly reduce the deductions which apply to the Perisson oil production, and make future investments for drilling and improvements to the property, even more economically attractive as Perisson develops the property to its fullest potential.

Upon closing of the Acquisition, Perisson will become operator of the properties and intends to improve the operating efficiencies at Ribstone by recompleting one of the existing wells, or by drilling a new well, to provide onsite water disposal and reduce the current operating expenses.

Perisson is also pleased to be a member of the 8020 Connect network, and invite all of our shareholders to become members with us. 8020 Connect (www.8020Connect.com) is the investment industry's newest social network, developed to deliver corporate information to shareholders, investment industry experts and like-minded investors, while enabling these member groups to interact with each other and with our corporate management team.

Barrel ("bbl") of oil equivalent ("boe") amounts may be misleading particularly if used in isolation. All boe conversions in this report are calculated using a conversion of six thousand cubic feet of natural gas to one equivalent barrel of oil (6 mcf=1 bbl) and is based on an energy conversion method primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value equivalency at the well head.
