CipherLoc Prototypes Hardware-Based Security Engine

SDCH

Demonstration paves the way for future product derivatives

AUSTIN, TX / ACCESSWIRE / October 25, 2016 / CipherLoc Corporation (OTCQB: CLOK), a leading supplier of high-value security solutions, today announced that its core advanced encryption technology is now available for demonstration on hardware-based platforms. The demonstrations, which utilize field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology, are the first step in the commercialization of CipherLoc's innovative technology onto a broad array of semiconductor-based devices.

In today's world where breaches are becoming an inevitability, CipherLoc's unique technology offers an advanced encryption methodology designed to fully protect the world's data. As announced last month, CipherLoc's initial commercialization consisted of a set of software products that are designed to operate on mobile platforms ("CipherLoc EDGE"); desktop, laptop, and tablet platforms ("CipherLoc ENTERPRISE"), and server platforms ("CipherLoc GATEWAY"). These initial software products offer an enhanced data security solution that can be easily added to existing products, services, and/or applications.

Today's announcement builds on this foundation by demonstrating the capability of running CipherLoc's core engine on a hardware-based FPGA platform. This is an important first step in extending the use of CipherLoc's technology onto any memory-based hardware architecture, including microprocessors and microcontrollers. CipherLoc plans to commercialize this effort through the development of a library element that can in turn be ported onto any one of these semiconductor-based platforms.

"By demonstrating the capability of running CipherLoc's innovative technology on a hardware-based platform, we are taking another important step forward in the evolution of our company" said Mike Salas, Vice President of Marketing and Sales of CipherLoc. "There are billions of processors shipped every year so by ensuring that our technology can be easily ported and run on any of these devices, we will open up new possibilities for product developers who are increasingly concerned with securing data."

The initial CipherLoc product portfolio (EDGE, ENTERPRISE, GATEWAY) based on its software-based engines are available now. Demonstrations based on these new hardware-based engines are also available now with full commercialization to follow in 2017.
