Leading US Commercial & Military Contract Packaging Provider to Offer Anti-Counterfeiting DNA-based Products, Labels and
Solutions
STONY BROOK, NY--(Marketwired - November 17, 2016) - Applied DNA Sciences, Inc.
(Applied DNA) (NASDAQ: APDN), a provider of DNA-based supply chain, anti-counterfeiting and
anti-theft technology, product genotyping and product authentication solutions, has signed a reselling partnership agreement with
Action-Pak, Inc. a contract packaging services provider for military and commercial supply chains.
Action-Pak will be offering DNA-based products, starting with tamper-evident labels that feature SigNature® DNA
with Beacon™ optical technology. The packager will also stock Beacon kits, which will allow for supply chain participants to
perform rapid in-field validation of DNA labels.Future plans include additional in-field validation kits, including Applied DNA's
proprietary Multi-Mode Reader.
Action-Pak participated in a logistics pilot project that used SigNature DNA labels as part of a cloud-based "track and trace"
simulation under Applied DNA's recently completed Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) contract. The pilot project proved out validation
and authentication solutions the packaging provider will be offering to customers as commercial, ready-to-use products.
