The Dow rose 0.11 percent 19,273.42, while the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.21 percent to 5,322.02. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 0.04 percent to 2,213.05.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Drugs Wholesale: This industry slipped 3.7 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was AmerisourceBergen Corp. (NYSE: ABC), which fell 5.3 percent. AmerisourceBergen shares have dropped 21.11 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 6.51 percent in the same period.
  • Drug Manufacturers - Other: This industry declined 1.6 percent by 11:00 am with Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: OREX) moving down 5.2 percent. Orexigen Therapeutics shares have declined 89.79 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 6.51 percent in the same period.
