Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

  • Wall Street expects J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE: JCP) to report quarterly earnings at $0.62 per share on revenue of $3.99 billion before the opening bell. J C Penney shares rose 1.02 percent to $6.93 in after-hours trading.
  • Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF) reported better-than-expected earnings for its fourth quarter, but issued a weak outlook for the current quarter. The company also announced a joint venture with Tasly Holding Group, a leading traditional Chinese medicine company, that will be finalized within the next 60 days. Herbalife reported a $1.5 billion buyback plan in the quarter. Herbalife shares slipped 0.22 percent to $59.27 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Gap Inc (NYSE: GPS) reported in-line earnings for its fourth quarter on Thursday. Gap shares gained 0.13 percent to $24.00 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts expect Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (NYSE: PEG) to report quarterly earnings at $0.53 per share on revenue of $2.70 billion before the opening bell. Public Service Enterprise shares rose 1.31 percent to $44.83 in after-hours trading.
  • Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) posted better-than-expected earnings for its fourth quarter on Thursday. Nordstrom shares gained 3.41 percent to $45.44 in the after-hours trading session.

  • Before the markets open, KBR, Inc. (NYSE: KBR) is projected to report its quarterly earnings at $0.19 per share on revenue of $1.19 billion. KBR shares gained 1.61 percent to $16.41 in after-hours trading.
  • Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE: HPE) reported downbeat revenue for its first quarter and cut its full-year profit outlook. However, the company’s earnings exceeded estimates. Hewlett Packard Enterprise shares dropped 6.45 percent to $23.07 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Splunk Inc (NASDAQ: SPLK) reported upbeat results for its fourth quarter, but issued a weak sales forecast for the current quarter. Splunk shares dropped 5.86 percent to $61.10 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts are expecting Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL) to have earned $1.32 per share on revenue of $2.12 billion in the latest quarter. Foot Locker will release earnings before the markets open. Foot Locker shares slipped 0.10 percent to $68.51 in after-hours trading.
  • Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU) posted better-than-expected earnings for its second quarter on Thursday. Intuit shares rose 0.99 percent to $121.90 in the after-hours trading session.
