CI Investments funds win 2017 Thomson Reuters Lipper Fund Awards

TORONTO, Nov. 9, 2017 /CNW/ - CI Investments Inc. ("CI") announced today that it has been honoured with six 2017 Thomson Reuters Lipper Fund Awards. The awards recognize funds that have excelled in delivering consistently strong risk-adjusted performance, relative to peers.

"Our six awards represent funds managed by four different investment teams, reflecting the diversity and strength of our portfolio management lineup," said Neal Kerr, Executive Vice-President, Investment Management at CI Investments. "We congratulate our portfolio managers for achieving this well-deserved recognition."

Signature Global Science & Technology Corporate Class won three awards, as it was the top fund over three, five and 10 years in the global equity category. The portfolio managers are Malcolm White and Jeremy Yeung of Signature Global Asset Management.

Portfolio Series Income Fund was the Lipper Fund Award winner in the global fixed income balanced category over 10 years. The fund, which is part of CI's Portfolio Series program, is managed by CI Multi-Asset Management, an in-house team of asset allocation experts led by Chief Investment Officer Alfred Lam.

Other winners were CI Global Small Companies Corporate Class in the global small/mid-cap equity category for the 10-year period, and CI Synergy Tactical Asset Allocation Fund in the tactical balanced category over five years. The portfolio managers are Epoch Investment Partners and Picton Mahoney Asset Management, respectively.
