Books-A-Million Honors U.S. Military With Coffee for the Troops Program This Holiday Season

Customers invited to spread joy with coffee donations that will be distributed to soldiers, veterans and VA hospitals

Giving is in the air, and it smells like coffee! Books-A-Million is once again partnering with Soldiers’ Angels for its 14th Coffee for the Troops program from September 29 – October 27. The book store chain makes it easy for those wishing to show gratitude for the brave soldiers fighting overseas, as well as veterans and patients in VA hospitals throughout the U.S – all by purchasing a bag of Joe Muggs coffee from any Books-A-Million location. For every five bags of coffee donated by customers, Books-A-Million will donate one.

“As we begin our 14th Coffee for the Troops campaign with Soldiers’ Angels, we encourage our customers to show their support to honor the brave men and women who serve our country,” said Matt Krenza, vice president of the food division at Books-A-Million. “Each year we are overwhelmed by the amount of generous donations we receive and are humbled to be able to offer the comfort and familiarity coffee brings to the soldiers fighting for our nation.”

Since 2012, Books-A-Million has partnered with Soldiers’ Angels to donate more than 850,000 bags of coffee to veterans and VA hospitals in the U.S., as well as to troops currently serving overseas. Each year, Coffee for the Troops has exceeded its donation goals thanks to the generosity of supporters across the country.

Customers are also given the option to write a personalized message on the donated bags to express their appreciation to the U.S. soldiers. To find the nearest Books-A-Million and Joe Muggs location, visit
