The First Bancorp Declares Third Quarter Dividend

DAMARISCOTTA, Maine

The Board of Directors of The First Bancorp (NASDAQ: FNLC), the parent company of First National Bank, today declared a quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share. This third quarter dividend is payable October 22, 2019, to shareholders of record as of October 7, 2019. Based on the September 25, 2019 closing price of $27.48 per share, the annualized dividend of $1.20 per share translates to a yield of 4.37%.

"The First Bancorp had a strong first quarter to open 2019, and reported record earnings in the second quarter. Total earnings through the first six months of 2019 were up 11.7% from the prior year" noted President & Chief Executive Officer, Tony C. McKim. "The Company's Board of Directors continues to view it appropriate to share these results with our shareholders in the form of an attractive cash dividend."

The First Bancorp, headquartered in Damariscotta, Maine, is the holding company for First National Bank. Founded in 1864, the Bank serves Mid-Coast and Down East Maine with 16 offices in Lincoln, Knox, Hancock, Penobscot and Washington Counties.
