Bird River Resources Announces New Appointment to Board of Directors and the Expiry of Bird River's Letter of Intent (LOI) with Faraday Energy

C.BDR

WINNIPEG, MB / ACCESSWIRE / July 5, 2024 / Bird River Resources Inc. (CSE:BDR) ("BDR" or the "Company") announces that, effective immediately, Mr. Gilles Lamarre has been appointed as director of the Company. Mr. Lamarre has over 50 years of entrepreneurial and management consulting experience. He has consulted to a number of Canadian technology and health corporations in the development and implementation of leading edge technologies. He was a senior executive with a major entertainment organization where he co-ordinated the development of the first computerized subscription/season ticketing system in North America. Gilles later co-founded Uniticket, a computerized entertainment ticket service which was subsequently sold to Ticketmaster Canada Inc. Mr. Lamarre is presently CEO of The Scientific Study Group Inc., which develops recovery programs for individuals suffering from addiction issues. He is also Chairman of Mackay Manor; a non-profit residential addiction recovery institution located north west of Ottawa that is funded by the Government of Ontario.

It is with disappointment that Bird River Resources also reports that the Company's Letter of Intent (LOI) with Faraday Energy (Faraday) has now expired and BDR has decided not to extend the LOI again. As Faraday did not proceed with the merger transaction outlined in the LOI BDR has given notice to Faraday to repay all outstanding funds loaned to it and that we will use all means at our disposal to recover those funds. The proposed transaction would have been BDR's first major step into the renewable power industry. The board of directors will continue to pursue opportunities in this and other related growth sectors in the future.
