Levi & Korsinsky, LLP Investigates Aflac Incorporated Data Breach

AFL

NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / July 2, 2025 / Aflac Incorporated recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal and protected health data of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to Aflac.

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

On June 12, 2025, Aflac became aware of suspicious activity on its U.S. network. Upon detection, Aflac launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to sensitive systems using social engineering tactics.

These files allegedly included claims information, health information, social security numbers, and/or other personal information related to customers, beneficiaries, employees, agents, and others involved in Aflac's U.S. business.

On June 20, 2025, Aflac filed a notice with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and issued a press release regarding the data breach. Compensation may be available for those individuals who receive notice that their personal information was compromised.
