Drone solutions and systems developer Draganfly (CSE:DPRO) secured its first orders for its Commander 3 XL Hybrid with the U.S. military.
The Commander 3 XL is being utilized to assist navigation through unfamiliar terrain and environments that are outside of GPS service.
In a news release, Draganfly’s president and CEO, Cameron Chell, called the orders a substantial milestone for the company.
“We are excited by the expanding opportunities to collaborate and deliver solutions meeting evolving needs and challenges in the defense space,” Chell said in a statement.
The longer-lasting drone was unveiled earlier this month at the Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas.
The Commander 3 XL Hybrid touts a significantly extended flight duration capability, allowing operators to achieve more in a single flight.
The Commander 3 XL Hybrid can accommodate a range of payloads, with the ability to fly a payload of up to 4 kilograms for as long as three hours.
