  • Spark Energy Minerals (CSE:SPRK) reported its highest lithium rock-chip assay to date (3,712 ppm) from the Cruzeta Target, along with elevated levels of other critical elements, indicating highly evolved LCT pegmatites
  • Stream sediment sampling at the Água Branca target returned consistent lithium anomalies (up to 118 ppm), supporting the area’s broader exploration potential
  • The company is preparing for Q3 2025 diamond drilling across three priority lithium targets and is also advancing exploration at its emerging rare earth element (REE) target at Caladão
  • Spark Energy Minerals stock (CSE:SPRK) last traded at $0.06

Spark Energy Minerals (CSE:SPRK) released encouraging assay results from its ongoing exploration program at the flagship Arapaima Project, located in Brazil’s prolific Lithium Valley. The latest results bolster the company’s confidence in advancing its three priority lithium targets—Cruzeta, Água Branca, and Grota do Maquém—toward diamond drilling in Q3 2025.

Cruzeta Target yields highest lithium rock-chip result to date

At the Cruzeta Target, reconnaissance rock-chip sampling has returned highly anomalous lithium values, with a peak result of 3,712 ppm lithium—the highest recorded since the field program commenced in November 2024. The 16 samples collected from pegmatite exposures also revealed significant concentrations of tin (up to 372 ppm Sn), niobium (559 ppm Nb), tantalum (87 ppm Ta), gallium (158 ppm Ga), scandium (83 ppm Sc), cesium (267 ppm Cs), and beryllium (8 ppm Be). Notably, potassium/rubidium (K/Rb) ratios as low as 13 suggest the presence of highly evolved LCT (lithium-cesium-tantalum) pegmatites, typically associated with lithium-rich mineralization.

Água Branca Stream sediment results reinforce prospectivity

Stream sediment sampling at the Água Branca target continues to yield promising results, with a peak sub-basin value of 118 ppm lithium. These findings are consistent with previously reported anomalies and support the broader exploration potential of the area. The company notes that these results are preliminary and part of an early-stage exploration program.

Advancing toward Q3 diamond drilling

Spark’s geological team is actively conducting detailed mapping and sampling to refine drill targets across its three priority zones. The company remains on track to initiate diamond drilling in the third quarter of 2025, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of the Arapaima Project.

Emerging rare earth element (REE) potential at Caladão

In addition to lithium exploration, Spark is progressing its emerging rare earth element target at Caladão, further diversifying the project’s critical mineral potential.

Management commentary

“These results further validate the strong lithium potential of our Arapaima Project,” Spark’s CEO, Eugene Hodgson commented in a media release. “The 3,712-ppm lithium-in-rock result at Cruzeta is our highest to date, supported by key pathfinder elements indicative of evolved LCT pegmatites. The 118 ppm lithium in stream sediments at Água Branca further underscores the district-scale opportunity. With diamond drilling planned for Q3 2025, we are accelerating target refinement. Brazil’s Lithium Valley is quickly emerging as a globally significant jurisdiction for critical minerals, and Spark is well-positioned at the forefront of this discovery phase.”

Stock option grant

The Company also announced the granting of 500,000 stock options to officers and consultants, including 300,000 options to insiders. Each option is exercisable at $0.10 per share for a two-year term and vests immediately, subject to a statutory hold period of four months plus one day.
