Bombardier (TSX:BBD.A) has set a new record for lowest cabin altitude with its Global 8000, achieving a figure of 2,691 ft at 41,000 ft., comparable to standing atop the Burj Khalifa.
Combined with HEPA air filtration through Bombardier’s Pũr Air system, the aircraft offers industry-leading protection when it comes to passengers’ physical wellbeing, ensuring that they arrive at their destinations “feeling refreshed, alert and ready to perform,” as per Tuesday’s news release.
The Global 8000 currently stands as the world’s fastest and longest-range business jet, with a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of up to 8,000 nautical miles.
The aircraft is scheduled to enter into service in 2025, when it would become the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde.
