Canopy Growth (TSX:WEED;NASDAQ:CGC) has added new softgel capsules under its Spectrum Therapeutics medical cannabis brand in Australia in response to rising demand for product diversity.

The new lineup includes:

  • Spectrum Yellow Cannabis Oil Softgels (CBD 20 mg).
  • Spectrum Red Cannabis Oil Softgels (THC 10 mg).
  • Spectrum Blue Cannabis Oil Softgels Balanced (THC 2.5 mg and CBD 3.75 mg).

The softgels join Spectrum Therapeutics’ growing product suite, including oils and flower, in addition to flower under other Canopy Growth brands such as Tweed, 7ACRES and TWD.

Australia legalized cannabis for medical purposes in 2016, though recreational use remains illegal across the country, except for the Australian Capital Territory.

The news follows Canopy’s financial results for Q2 fiscal 2026, which were highlighted by higher revenue and a 63 per cent reduction in operating losses year-over-year thanks to lower operating expenses.

Management commentary

“Expanding our portfolio in established markets like Australia is a key driver of our global medical strategy,” Luc Mongeau, chief executive officer of Canopy Growth, said in Tuesday’s news release. “Softgels deepen our offering and reinforce our commitment to meeting the needs of patients in this important international market.”

“Patients continue to ask for a variety of formats that deliver both quality and convenience,” added Andrew Bevan, Canopy’s senior vice president, global medical. “Adding softgels to the Spectrum Therapeutics portfolio gives prescribers and patients more choice while supporting the continued growth of our international business.”
