Angkor Gold Investor Update | Conference Invite | Tour Offer

TCR family: I believe Angkor Gold's (TSX: V.ANK, Stock Forum) new China partners, who already own more than 10 percent of ANK (Canada ticker), will be setting off some celebratory fireworks soon. That is our TCR take.

ANK is one of our TCR 6. Please see:

Dear Friends & Shareholders,

Here is a link to our latest press release.

This is a follow up to my last update from mid-July where Adrian Mann, our senior citizen chief geologist, was studiously going through all of the results collected before the summer rainy season.

The geology team in conjunction with the geologists from China have reviewed all of the data on our China Wall Prospect (the technical aspects can be found in our latest press release).

Dr. Mann and his team compiled the data. We see this as the first visible example of the work our new China partners are conducting with us. Beijing Explor-Tech Engineering Co. (Betec) and the China Chemical Geology and Mine Bureau Shandong Geological Prospecting Institute (SI) surveyed across a 25km2 area of hills, streams and native mine workings.

China Wall will move forward to diamond drilling. Adrian is happy with the findings and indications are that we have a copper-molybdenum mineralised porphyry intrusive with peripheral gold epithermal mineralization. Yes, that is a mouthful!

First positive is multi-element and second positive is we have both porphyry and epithermal mineralization. Drilling results will tell the rest of the story. These results continue to complement our business model of prospect generator where we advance projects with our exploration work and then focus on finding the right partner to further advance the project --with Angkor shareholders keeping a portion of the project.

Thus far, the company has been fortunate to raise capital via the sale and partnership of our concessions in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Please look for more such arrangements in the Kingdom that will give anyone who owns even ONE Share of ANK (ANKOF in USA) a carried interest in WHATEVER we perform in that sprouting nation. Metals of course, and anything else that will benefit ALL OF US, and the communities we serve there and in North America: short term and mid-term and long-term.

Delayne Weeks is happy to be back in Cambodia.

I saw her off late last week and I have never seen her so pumped to head out to the Kingdom.

I know I missed my cue there; some of you thought I was going to say, "... and I have never been so pumped to see her head out of here." In truth, if I said that, I would be in trouble with one of our top executives. Delayne has three people from Grande Prairie, Alberta, helping her on CSR (social) projects. She also has an editor from Florida with the Engineering and Mining Journal with her; the author is writing on why corporate social responsibility is important to the mining industry.

It is encouraging to see more writers getting behind our story and digging deeper. We look forward to sharing an update next time.

We continue to work closely with our new China partners and are keen with the direction that we are taking… stay tuned. I say that for your information, and not as a promoter. Please stay tuned.

I am busy on the home front. We will be at the Cambridge House Investment Conference in Toronto September 25-26th, so if you are in that neck of the woods stop by for a visit at booth #602! We will be participating in a round table on “Pacific Rim Ring of Fire & Its Emerging Investment Opportunities,”moderated by your fellow stakeholder, Thom Calandra of The Calandra Report.

Joining us: Matthew Hornor of Kaizen Discovery (TSX: V.KZD, Stock Forum) and Conrad Swanson of Gold Reach (TSX: V.GRV, Stock Forum). They know their markets and have specific ideas about Asia-related partners, about strategic metals and about worthy projects that touch or are within reach of the Pacific Ocean.

I am looking forward to this one-hour panel. The following morning, I will be hosting a breakfast at the conference -- Thom will be there as will several of our closest friends and stakeholders. Please see attached. I know Thom is always looking for his next meal right after he completes his previous meal. This will be a breakfast worthy of its Canadian bacon, I believe.

If you are interested in seeing our operations and Cambodia, an investor tour is being organised by friends. Just send us a note or click on the link to register, as it is sure to be a fun time: a look at what will be Cambodia's first commercial gold mine (ours, with India partner Mesco Consolidated); waterfalls, volcanic lakes, temples, bicycling, motorbiking, extraordinary cuisine, a look at the real Phnom Penh.

Kind regards

from Alberta, Canada,

Mike "52" Weeks

TCR Blips: Angkor Gold Investor Update | Conference Invite | Tour Offer

-- Thom [OK, we are staying tuned; I own a Mekog Delta-load of ANK/ANKOF. Let me add that Mr. Weeks works 52 of 'em a year, and Delayne with him. However, Mr. Mike eats constantly and never seems to gain an ounce or a gram of body weight. Whereas I keep to the TCR Fountain Of Youth Regimen: 3 enormous meals a day, lots of water, IPA ales are allowed, and absoliutely no snacking in between meals -- I would like to say I can GAIN weight at will, but alas, I can not. Jealous? Don't be; it's hard work eating my family out of house and home, and my friends, too.]
