Binance is offering a bounty for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the attempted hack on its system on
March 7th, 2018.
Founder Zhao Changpeng posted on
the Company’s blog that $250,000 (in USD worth of Binance coin, BNB) is up for grabs to the first person to bring substantial information and evidence that leads to the hackers’ arrest.
The statement adds that $10 million is also being set aside for future bounties and Binance is urging other exchanges to do the same.
Hacking has proved to be a lucrative business.
Earlier this year, more than $530 million (USD) was stolen in the Coincheck hack of XEM coin, which is still under investigation by authorities and agencies in Tokyo and Vancouver, Canada.
