Click to enlargeDrilling is underway Nexus Gold Corp’s (TSX-V:NXS, OTC:NXXGF, Forum) McKenzie property located in Red Lake, Ontario, and the company recently announced an increase to their phase one drill program. Historic drilling conducted in 2005 returned significant values, including 7.49 g/t Au over 8.2 meters, 15.54 g/t Au over 0.8m, and 2.15 g/t Au over 5.5m.

It’s an exciting time for the company, who are also looking to develop their West African properties as the price of gold heads north of US$1,800, a number CEO Alex Klenman predicted in a Stockhouse interview at the beginning of the year. Nexus Gold has an extensive portfolio of gold properties and Alex returned to the Stockhouse stage to update investors in a lively discussion.
