Gold has been glittering in and around the USD$2,000 mark for much of this summer and early fall, but many believe its value is projected to rise even higher in the months and years to come. Is USD$4,000 an ounce possible…or even probable?
The team heading exploration Company
Rover Metals Corp. (
TSX-V: ROVR,
OTCQB: ROVMF,
Forum) hopes so. Rover specializes in North American precious metal resources and is currently advancing the gold potential of its existing projects. These projects include: (1) the Cabin Lake group of gold exploration properties – a high-grade iron formation, located around 110 kilometres northwest of Yellowknife; and (2) the Up-Town Gold Property – a high-grade Archean lode gold prospect adjoining the Giant Mine in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
The Company is currently in the middle of a drill program at its Cabin Lake project. Exploration drilling commenced September 6
th, and the Company hopes to have an inferred gold resource at Cabin Lake by end of Q4. There is a historical mineral resource estimate of approximately 85,000 ounces Au at the Cabin Lake project.
Retail investors snapped up Rover Metals’ recent private placement with solid backing from Cannacord Capital, looking at Rover as a potential next level gold company, and with good reason. Rover’s
current drill program is focused on upgrading their unpublished resource to inferred at Cabin Lake. Based on a conservative estimate of 2008-2009 prices, this alone would value the company in excess of US$12 million and would provide investors with some serious upside based on a share price currently trading between 7.5-9 cents.
And there’s more, the company is planning three times as much additional drilling at Cabin Lake to depth and a long strike in early 2021.
