On Monday, Golden Touch Resources (TSX: V.GOT, Stock Forum) shares climbed 15% to 46 cents after the micro cap miner reported that assay results have outlined further gold mineralization within holes recently drilled at the Gjazuj Area at its Rubik Gold Project in Albania, which included 17 metres at 3.0 grams/tonne (g/t) gold over the down hole interval from 47-64 metres.

As well, shares of Afexa Life Sciences (TSX: T.FXA, Stock Forum) shot up 20% to 55 cents as the biotech firm announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorization of a Phase 1B clinical trial of AFX-2 (CVT-E002) as an Investigational New Drug in adults with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. In addition, after Friday’s close, Paladin Labs (TSX: T.PLB, Stock Forum) said it has acquired common shares of Afexa that give Paladin beneficial ownership of a total of 15,421,300 common shares of Afexa, or approximately 14.94% of Afexa's total issued and outstanding common stock.

In Tuesday trading, Alix Resources (TSX: V.AIX, Stock Forum) shares jumped 32% to 24.5 cents after the micro cap explorer reported that the 2011 drill program at its Golden Zone gold-silver-copper property in Alaska has begun.

Also, shares of Murgor Resources (TSX: V.MGR, Stock Forum) moved up as much as 25% to 17.5 cents as the junior miner provided an update on its exploration results so far at its Golden Arrow Gold project, located 65 kilometres east of Timmins, Ontario, which outlined a gold zone with drill intercepts of up to 124 metres, over a strike length of 250 metres and a vertical depth of up to 200 metres, immediately below and to the southwest of the current open pit.

Wednesday’s market action saw shares of F.D.G. Mining (TSX: V.FDG, Stock Forum) surge 36% to 26.5 cents after the micro cap miner said it has discovered a new mineralized zone on its 9300 hectare gold project in Nicaragua. The discovery consists of quartz breccia exposed in outcrop for 20 metres along a creek bed and has returned values of 7.63 grams per tonne (g/t) and 4.76 g/t gold in two grab samples.

In addition, shares of Zarlink Semiconductor (TSX: T.ZL, Stock Forum) gained 51% to $3.60 as the company reported that it has received an offer from Microsemi Corporation (NASDAQ: MSCC, Stock Forum) to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Zarlink for $3.35 per share in cash, or a total consideration of US$548.7 million.

On Thursday, Hemisphere Energy (TSX: V.HME, Stock Forum) shares powered 22% higher to 67 cents after the oil and gas explorer/developer reported initial production results from its first horizontal well targeting oil in the Glauconitic formation on its Jenner property in Alberta. The well has been producing for five days and the stabilized production rate for the last 72 hours has been approximately 230 barrels-of-oil per day. Hemisphere has 100% interest in the well and is the operator.

As well, shares of Goldbrook Ventures (TSX: V.GBK, Stock Forum) rose 51% to 26.5 cents as the junior explorer said the Arbitration Tribunal found that Goldbrook is entitled under the shareholders agreement to be the holder of 25% of the voting shares of Jien Canada and that the issuance of 494 voting shares that would have affected the dilution was not authorized by, and was contrary to, the shareholders agreement.

And, in Friday trading, BE Resources (TSX: V.BER, Stock Forum) shares skyrocketed 782% to 75 cents after the micro cap explorer reported the remaining assay results from its drilling program to date at its Warm Springs project in New Mexico, which included 242 feet of 75.51% light rare earth elements (cerium, europium, lanthanum, neodymium, praseodymium, samarium) as oxides and 24.49% heavy rare earth elements (gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, yttrium) as oxides.

Finally, shares of Titan Logix (TSX: V.TLA, Stock Forum) added 47% at 25 cents as the technology industrial instrumentation and controls company announced third-quarter record sales of $3,012,969, a 94% increase from the same period last year. Net earnings and comprehensive earnings was $350,116 this period compared to a net loss of $84,663 a year earlier.
