On Monday, Corvus Gold (TSX: T.KOR, Stock Forum) shares climbed 11% to 84 cents after the micro cap miner reported the first results from its 2012 exploration drilling program on the North Bullfrog Project in Nevada, which included 15.3 metres of 2.36 grams per tonne (g/t) gold starting at 11 metres below the surface.

As well, shares of The Medipattern Corporation (TSX: V.MKI, Stock Forum) shot up 48% to 21.5 cents on volume of more than five million shares as the developer of medical imaging software solutions announced that its new Visualize:Vascular is now being used in four states in the U.S.: New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

In Tuesday trading, GTA Resources and Mining (TSX: V.GTA , Stock Forum) shares skyrocketed 529% to $1.54 on volume of more than 7.7 million shares after the micro cap explorer reported results from the Phase 1 drilling program completed on the Northshore Property near Schreiber, Ontario, which included 149.5 metres grading 3.21 g/t gold (uncapped) or 1.20 g/t gold (capped) and 12.49 g/t gold over 33.80 metres. GTA has an option agreement with Balmoral Resources (TSX: V.BAR, Stock Forum), whereby GTA can earn up to a 70% interest in the Northshore Project.

Also, shares of Volta Resources (TSX: T.VTR, Stock Forum) moved up 34% to $1.50 on more than 5.9 million shares traded after the gold junior reported the discovery of new mineralization situated approximately 700 metres southwest of its Kiaka Central Area deposit in Burkina Faso, which included 25.0 metres of 9.22 g/t gold.

Wednesday’s market action saw shares of Metals Creek Resources (TSX: V.MEK, Stock Forum) jump 35% to 11.5 cents on volume of more than 12.6 million shares after the micro cap miner reported final assay results from its 2011 diamond drill program on the Ogden Gold Project in Timmins, Ontario, which included 1.92 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 94.0 meters between a down hole depth of 78 metres and 172 metres.

In addition, shares of DiagnoCure (TSX: T.CUR, Stock Forum) gained 39% to 99 cents as the life sciences company that develops and commercializes cancer diagnostic tests announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Gen-Probe's (NASDAQ: GPRO, Stock Forum) PROGENSA PCA3 (Prostate Cancer Antigen 3) assay, the first molecular test to help determine the need for repeat prostate biopsies in men who have had a previous negative biopsy. DiagnoCure has a strategic alliance with Gen-Probe for the development and commercialization of a prostate cancer test using PCA3, DiagnoCure's proprietary molecular biomarker.

On Thursday,Shear Diamonds Ltd. (TSX: V.SRM, Stock Forum) jumped 20% to 35.5 cents after the junior secured final approval for an 8-year water license for its Jericho diamond mine. Shear CEO Julie Lassonde said gaining final approval from the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development allows the company to continue towards a path of full commercial production at Jericho. Shear owns 100% of the Jericho mine and surrounding exploration assets, which are located in the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut.

Condor Resources Inc. (TSX: V.CN, Stock Forum) was up 11% to 30 cents after the junior released drill results from its San Martin project in southern Peru. Highlights include a 6.15-metre interval, grading 25.04 grams silver and 0.54 grams gold per tonne. The San Martin project is situated in the Oropampa-Caylloma precious metals belt in the Arequipa district in southern Peru, about 7 kilometres southeast of the Orcopampa gold mine. The latest results are the second and third hole of a 3,000-metre phase 1 program.

And, in Friday trading, Woulfe Mining Corp. (TSX: V.WOF, Stock Forum) gained 5% to 29 cents on news of drilling results from the company’s Sangdong tungsten-molybdenum project in South Korea. The company said results from drilling completed during 2011 will be used in the calculation of the feasibility resource estimate. Located 187 kilometres east of Seoul, Sangdong was the world’s leading producer of tungsten for 40 years. It closed in1992. Drilling from underground continues, Woulfe said in a release.

Yellowhead Mining Inc. (TSX: V.YMI, Stock Forum) also rose 2% to $1. The company tabled an updated mineral resource estimate for its Harper Creek project near Kamloops, B.C. At a 2% copper cut-off grade, total measured and indicated resources now stand at 815 million tonnes, grading 0.29% copper, and containing 5.26 billion pounds of copper, an increase of 1.67 billion pounds over a prior estimate.
