Cub Energy (TSX: V.KUB, Stock Forum) Monday said it has begun drilling the North Makeevskoye-3 exploration well in Ukraine.

The well is operated by KUB-Gas LLC, a partially-owned subsidiary in which Cub has a 30% effective ownership interest.

North Makeevskoye-3 is being drilled as a directional well with a planned total measured depth of 2,500 metres. It is expected to take approximately 35 days to reach total depth.
