Penn West Exploration appoints Rick George as Chairman

Penn West Exploration (TSX: T.PWT, Stock Forum) late Sunday announced that effective immediately it has appointed Rick George as Chairman of its Board of Directors, this according to a company news release.

George served as a director, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Suncor from 1991 to 2012.

Penn West operates a light oil portfolio throughout western Canada on a land base encompassing nearly six million acres.
