Seems commercial production for Silicon has been put on hold as HPQ chases other things. To go from hearing everyday that the pilot plant is passing all the tests for production, quality, and size to no news at all. Not sure if the company is even looking at building a plant to start producing Silicon to offer commercially. Is that dream dead is hard to tell as all there is is silence. Now they ...more

So there are answers to questions on the pilot plant and the metrics measured? Can you please point out where these have been reported.

A lot of basics have been talked about in the interviews and posted here. Purevap NSiR was a fail and now given back to PYR.   Purevap QRR is not needed to supply the required silicon because sufficient quantities of sufficient quality are available from the market at lower prices right now. That material is being processed using Novacium intellectual property to test SiOx material in ...more

I went back and reviewed HPQ press releases in relation to the Pilot Plant and found an October 11, 2023 story that reported the Pilot Plant had a successful pour and had hit and validated all critical milestones in the Purevap Gen 3 QRR testing. Sorry I am not able to provide the link but if anyone is also wondering go back to the on or about release of Oct 11, 2023 and you can find the news ...more

Not sure what the point of this particular discussion is.  We found out a few videos ago that HPQ decided not to spend any money at this time to pursue the advancement of this initiative.  Unless it is to show how something that sounds good can be put aside without much fanfare. Another battery announcement coming up this week I figure.  Results of further cycle tests.  I ...more

More of a review as lots of people were questioning the status of the Pilot Plant. It's ready to be scaled up, but first the company is looking to add value to the finished product before pursuing building a full scale plant. I found it helpful to review as I had lost track of everything that had happened in regards to the Pilot Plant passing all the tests. Guess the Fumed Silca pilot plant ...more

Not entirely as they described it.  Bernard stated that the price of Silicon that they use for the battery anodes is low compared to the cost of pursuing the Purevap QRR plant.  So, it has nothing to do with refining their SiOx product first and then scaling up the Purevap QRR.  It is all about the available market supply and market price of silicon.   Fumed silica pilot ...more
