Meunier-144 JV between AGE and LSGThis looks like a movie rerun.
- A bit of history: PRB (Probe Mines, before the Borden Lake discovery) had a JV with LSG near Thunder Creek (45-55 with LSG as leader). It would appear that LSG was dragging its feet with the drilling. After a while David Palmer got tired of the situation and with his hit at Borden Lake, somehow that JV disappear from the scene. Sold to LSG? Not sure if that claim has contributed to all the discovery LSG has made in the area.
- Meunier-144: With the current merger with AGE, the JV between AGE and LSG would fall on the new PRB's lap (see join Corp Presentation, Slide 8). Presumably, it would become a JV between PRB and THO (50-50). But that fine piece of property has not be further developed (no drilling in 2015 by LSG). It's is next door to LSG 144 Gap Zone. I may appear that LSG has been consistent with its JV strategy...get a JV and then do nothing serious with it and wait for the junior partner to get frustrated and leave?
Just some speculation on my part, but it looks like it a hot area. Any idea or rumour on this. Would Dave have better luck dealing with THO? Or, get the JV back and do the drilling himself. He may be lucky this time and come up with a discovery hole.
Let's throw in a hypothetical scenario just to get our blood circulating faster. How about G take a run at THO after the THO/LSG has been completed? That would simplify the Timmins scenery quite a bit (too many small players). Time for some major consolidation. With a market cap of $19B G can certainly absorb the new THO (Cap: $3.3B). Just offer THO a 20-25% premium.
A similar scenario could be postulated with G merging with ELD (Cap: $3B). And that would fit in well with ICG (do it after ELD has formed a JV with ICG Lamaque South, lol).
