Ecopetrol (T.ECP) and unions file collective labor agreement claim

Ecopetrol (TSX:ECP, Stock Forum), a Bogota Colombia-based oil firm engaged exploration and production, transportation and logistics, and refining and petrochemicals, announced today that the company and labor unions filed a collective labor agreement in the Ministry of Labor.

According to the news release, the action is pursuant to the June 30, 2014 expiration of the collective labor agreement, signed in 2009 and in effect for five years. The company’s filing attempts to update content to reflect the company’s growth and future prospects.

The release went on to note, “Ecopetrol urges the use of dialogue and cooperation as a means to strengthen the company for the benefit of its workers, labor unions and the country.”
