Ximen Mining (TSX:V.XIM, Stock Forum) celebrated today as trenching activities on its Gold Drop property located near Greenwood, BC, uncovered a new vein with coarse visible gold in outcrop on the southern portion of Gold Drop's vein system.

According to the news release, the company will continue trenching to trace this vein to the southwest, beyond the limits of any historical surface or ground exploration. Samples from this new discovery have been submitted for testing and assay results will be released as soon as they are received.

The Vancouver-based company's trenching campaign continues to open up the Gold Drop-North Star vein system for systematic representative sampling with the end goal of defining select areas along the structure for an upcoming bulk sample program.

ActLabs, located in Kamloops, will be carrying out assay work on the 40 rock samples the company has collected from trenches and historic workings on the Gold Drop property while the company continues to prospect to located more mineralized quartz vein occurrences on the property for sampling and testing by excavator trenching.

Ximen was in the news recently when the company's geophysics program at Brett Gold project identified three prominent, previously unknown structural trends six days ago.

Shares climbed 2.82% on the news to $0.73 per share.

Currently there are 14.1m outstanding shares with a market cap of $10.3 million.
