MEDIA ADVISORY: Deep Agile 2013 Conference to Bring Together Region's Agile and Software Testing Communities to Spotlight "Creating a Culture of Quality"

New Regional Agile Conference to Take Place November 23 and 24 at Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 31, 2013) -  The region's lean/Agile community of software developers will gather on Nov. 23 and 24 for Deep Agile 2013, a first-ever conference focused on creating a "culture of quality" through best practices in testing and collaboration. The two-day conference will be held at the Microsoft New England Research & Development (NERD) Center in Cambridge.

Deep Agile 2013 -- focusing on the role of testing in the Agile development processes -- is the first conference of its kind organized by Agile New England, the leading community of Agile enthusiasts, practitioners and learners in the region and host of the popular Agile Games conference each spring. The sponsors of Deep Agile 2013 are Eliassen Group, SmartBear, Rally Software, BigVisible, EcoStatic and Microsoft.

WHAT: Deep Agile 2013: Creating a Culture of Quality is a two-day weekend conference created for all software development team members and stakeholders who want to better understand the role of testing and collaboration in improving software development.

WHY: In Agile development, quality is a shared contribution of everyone involved, but it is not easy to create a culture of quality. Organizations face challenges as they work to motivate all team members to create great products. A key is enabling testing professionals to add value in all phases of product development, rather than as gatekeepers at the end of the process. Deep Agile 2013 is designed to offer participants an experiential journey that will help them better understand Agile software development and learn how the entire organization benefits when all parts of a team work together in a culture of quality.

WHO: The conference -- which will feature presentations by leading authorities on Agile testing -- is being sponsored by Agile New England, Eliassen Group, SmartBear, Rally Software, BigVisible, EcoStatic and Microsoft.

WHEN: Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24

WHERE: The Microsoft New England Research & Development (NERD) Center, One Memorial Drive, Suite 100, Cambridge.
