New Tennant "E" Series Carpet Extractors Achieve Top Honors from the Carpet and Rug Institute, Earning Gold Certification; Meets LEED for Quiet Operation

TNC

Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), a world leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing solutions that help create a cleaner, safer, healthier world, has earned Gold level certification from the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) for their new Nobles Explorer and Tennant E-Series line of commercial carpet extractors.

In addition, the EH5 Extractor, when used with Orbio™ Multi-Surface Cleaning Solution, received Platinum honors. Tennant’s all new Q12 Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner received Silver CRI Certification for carpet extractors, which underscores its value and effectiveness as a versatile cleaner that can be used on both hard and soft surfaces. The E-Series carpet extractors include a variable 50-500 psi heated extractor (EH5), a 220 psi heated extractor (EH2), a 220 psi unheated extractor (EC2), and a 120 psi heated extractor on a single 20-amp circuit (EH1).

The CRI Gold Certification (www.carpet-rug.org) process is rigorous and tests products for: safe and efficient soil removal, water removal, texture retention, rate of resoiling, pH safety, and no use of optical brighteners and colorfastness.

Tennant Director of Distribution Lou Maylock said, “At Tennant, we value listening to our customers and responding to their needs by providing products that exceed expectations. Our challenge was to offer a line of carpet extractors that were highly effective and efficient on all floor surfaces while also reducing the noise pollution generated by many machines. We were pleased to achieve the CRI Gold Certification level on all our new “E” series canister extractors. It’s an important differentiator for us and reinforces our commitment to creating a cleaner, safer, healthier world through innovative solutions for our customers.” The introduction of these new models brings quiet, durable and versatile products to the market.

About Tennant’s “E” Series CRI Gold Certified Carpet Extractors

  • Keep carpets cleaner longer.
  • May contribute credits to LEED certification for low-noise operation, allowing for 24-hour cleaning.
  • Powerful three-stage vacuum motor maximizes water recovery allowing carpets to dry quicker.
  • Innovative high-airflow titanium wand design (standard on EH5; optional for other models) maximizes water flow at the ends of the wand allowing for maximum water recovery uniformly across the width of the cleaning wand.
  • Operator can customize the cleaning operation based on soil levels and carpet/textile types allowing for a wider range of cleaning possibilities.
  • Large-capacity 15-gallon tank increases productivity by lengthening the time between empty and refill cycles.
  • Long 15-foot hose enables the operator to clean more carpet without moving the machine and in areas that are hard to reach, improving cleaning productivity.
  • Easy access fill port reduces spills during the fill-up process and keeps operators in an ergonomic position when filling.

The “E” Series Carpet Extractors and the multi-surface floor cleaner will be displayed and demonstrated at the upcoming ISSA Show in Las Vegas, November 19-21 in Booth #1540.
