Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - May 2, 2017) - UGE International Ltd. ("UGE") (TSXV: UGE), a global leader in solar energy
solutions for the commercial and industrial sector, announces it has been selected by The Sheridan College Institute of Technology
and Advanced Learning ("Sheridan") to design and build a solar carport at its Davis Campus.
Sheridan is one of Ontario's leading higher education institutions with campuses in three Ontario cities; Oakville, Brampton,
and Mississauga. The Davis campus, located in Brampton, is Sheridan's largest. Installation of on-campus renewable energy
generation is part of Sheridan's Integrated Energy and Climate Master Plan (IECMP), which guides Sheridan to reduce energy use by
50% and greenhouse gas emissions by 60% by 2030 relative to 2010.

The minimum 500 kW project will generate approximately 700,000 kWh of solar energy annually, saving 29 tons of emissions each
year; the campus would need to plant over 2,700 trees to avoid the same amount of CO2. For the approximate 14,000
students at Davis campus, this means they can all breathe a little easier. UGE is dedicated to powering commercial and industrial
buildings across the globe with clean, sustainable energy, and hopes that other institutions will follow in Sheridan's footsteps.
"The successful award from Sheridan came as fantastic news," said Robert van Duynhoven, Vice-President, Marketing and Sales for
UGE. "While on campus I could immediately feel the intellectual intensity and progressive atmosphere, so I knew solar would just
make sense. UGE's solar installations provide the cleanest and cheapest energy available, and Sheridan will be able to redirect the
money they make from going solar towards providing students with a better education."
Upon UGE's completion of the solar carport project, parking on Davis Campus will be transformed. Beyond generating clean energy,
the project offers a great deal of additional advantages to the college as well; protection from the elements, lower parking lot
maintenance costs, and potential income from outdoor events and advertising space, to name a few. Sheridan will also have a
stronger academic positioning in sustainability and climate curricula, with goals of becoming a national role-model, a goal UGE is
proud to support.
"We hope to support Sheridan in future solar roll-outs as well," said van Duynhoven. "For every dollar we save through clean
energy generation it is rewarding to know we will be able to enhance the university's teaching and learning experience."
The project is expected to be installed by UGE over the next six months. In accordance with confidentiality agreements,
the contract value will remain undisclosed.
