Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Thursday, February 3, 2011
TORONTO (SHfn) – Sunridge Gold (TSX: V.SGC, Stock Forum) shares powered 24% higher to $1.24 on Thursday after the copper/gold junior reported results from newly received assays from 10 diamond drill holes from its Debarwa copper-gold-zinc deposit located on the Asmara Project in Eritrea, which included 31.85 metres of 5.72% copper and 2.13 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.
As well, shares of IntelGenx (TSX: V.IGX, Stock Forum) moved up 32% to 50 cents as the drug delivery company announced that the United States District Court of Delaware has dismissed the lawsuit against IntelGenx that was initiated by Biovail Laboratories International SLR in August 2009.
Passport Potash (TSX: V.PPI, Stock Forum), meanwhile, said it has engaged Zonge International to complete 50 line-mile seismic survey on the Holbrook Potash Project. Passport stock popped 74% to 79 cents.
And, Kootenay Gold (TSX: V.KTN, Stock Forum) Thursday reported assay results from an additional 15 drill holes as part of a 10,000 meter, ongoing, multi-phase drilling program on its Promontorio Silver Project in Mexico. The 15 drill holes encountered consistent and multiple intercepts of widespread silver mineralization highlighted by values up to 149 g/t silver and 108 g/t silver over 10.5 and 16.5 meters, respectively. Kootenay shares added 11% at $1.15.
