Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Monday, November 28, 2011
TORONTO (SHfn) – Esperanza Resources (TSX: V.EPZ, Stock Forum) shares climbed 22% to $1.26 on Monday after the micro cap explorer reported drill results from its Cerro Jumil project in Mexico, which included 61.5 meters containing 1.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. The company said mineralization has now been extended an additional 100 meters down dip.
As well, shares of Legend Gold (TSX: V.LGN, Stock Forum) shot up 56% to 28 cents as the junior miner announced that diamond drilling has begun at Zone 1 at its Lakanfla gold project in Mali, West Africa, with plans to drill a minimum of 500 metres to test high-grade intersections.
Pretium Resources (TSX: T.PVG, Stock Forum), meanwhile, reported an updated mineral resource estimate for its wholly-owned Brucejack Project in British Columbia, which shows 5.06 million ounces of gold in the Measured and Indicated resource categories (9.3 million tonnes grading 16.92 g/t gold), a 460% percent increase; and 3.33 million ounces of gold in the Inferred resource category (4.0 million tonnes grading 25.67 g/t gold). Pretium stock popped 21% to $10.17.
And, Redstar Gold (TSX: V.RGC, Stock Forum) Monday announced results from recent drilling on the Unga project in Alaska, which included 21 metres of 4.02 g/t gold. Redstar Gold shares slipped 14% to 45 cents.
